TVC — Television Commercials
Broadcast-grade commercial production, from concept and script through the shoot to the final master.
The most expensive-looking work a brand produces.
A TVC is the piece a brand gets judged on. It runs on television, ahead of a YouTube video, or on a screen at an event, in each case competing with something the viewer already chose to watch. We handle it from the first concept conversation through to the delivered master.
How a TVC gets made
- 1
Brief and concept
What the advertisement has to achieve, who it addresses, and the single idea it rests on. We return with concepts rather than a schedule.
- 2
Script and storyboard
The spot is written to length, then boarded shot by shot so no problem is discovered on the shoot day.
- 3
Pre-production
Casting, location, permits, kit list, and call sheet. The unglamorous stage that decides whether the shoot runs on time.
- 4
The shoot
Cinema camera, controlled lighting, and monitored sound, directed against the storyboards with room to take a better idea when one appears.
- 5
Post-production
Edit, colour grade, sound design, and mix, with graphics and titles where the spot calls for them.
- 6
Delivery
A broadcast-specification master, plus cutdowns in vertical, square, and shortened versions for wherever else it runs.
